Welcome new waxers!
I just wanted give you some advice on how to prepare for your first waxing appointment.
DO NOT wax if you are currently taking any acne medications. This loosens and thins out skin and may cause lifting or ripping of the skin.
1. No excessive sun exposure, body facials, or chemical peels one week before and after waxing.
2. At least 7 days of hair growth. Preferably 10 days of growth.
3. No lotions or perfumes day of wax.
After waxing and preparing for follow up waxing
1. Exfoliate 2 to 3 times with a light loofa the week after to prevent ingrown hairs
2. Continue to exfoliate once a week until next wax
3. For best results on next wax do not shave!
4. NO hot tubs, swimming or sauna up to 3 days after waxing
5. Wait 24 for lotions, make up and other skin care products

Bejeweled bras and images of busts created with dazzling colors, fabrics and textures will be the entries for the 10th Annual Bust of Steamboat. It’s a fun and whimsical fundraiser for a serious subject – breast cancer. The entries will be on display for the month of October in the community and then auctioned to the highest bidder at a reception and live auction on Friday, October 21st, 2011, 5-8pm at Three Peaks Grill.
In addition to 20 beautiful pieces of artworks, live entertainment, delectable hors d’ oeuvres and fantastic wine. Be sure to bring extra $1 bills to place your vote for “Bust of Show”. The “Bust of Show” is awarded to the designer whose bra/entry receives the most votes by the end of the evening.
All the money raised stays in Routt and Moffat Counties to help uninsured and underinsured women to pay for mammograms, annual wellness exams and assist in breast cancer treatment costs. Advance tickets sales locations will be annouced closer to the event. For more information call 970-846-4554.
